We’re all really excited about our next Climate Cafe event on 12th July in one of our favourite locations, The Guildhall at Christ the Cornerstone Church in the City Centre. Dr. Charlotte Weatherill, a lecturer in Politics and International Studies at the Open University, is coming down from her home in Nottingham to give us a talk entitled “All in the Same Boat? Rethinking Climate Vulnerability”. Charlotte’s aim is to get us thinking about whether we’re all equally vulnerable to the dangers of climate change or whether climate injustice means those least able to protect themselves will be affected worse than others. Then again, does this make us lack a sense of urgency in the wealthier countries and if so, how do we get the message across to people? Is the media giving people the wrong impression? Her talk is bound to give us plenty of food for thought… and talking of food, there’s always our amazing vegan Cafe, and lots of opportunity to meet and mingle. ENTRANCE FREE as always! See you there!
